Country Club Estates is a community of 100 luxury homes close to several clubs and golf courses. These Mediterranean style homes were built in 1981, and are located near country Club Drive and Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage, California.
These timeless homes offer three floor plans that offer many different features. They range in size from 2,500 to 3,400 square feet. Some have gated entry courtyards and many have private pools with a walled backyard. The community offers a year-round pool pavilion and four tennis courts. Homeowners love the wide streets and lit paseos that give this neighborhood its charm. Desert Resort Management takes care of the front yard landscaping and common areas; this is included in the HOA fees.
Country Club Estates is just a mile from The River which offers a complex of restaurants and theatres. And close by is the famous El Paseo Drive, a mile-long shopping area that is known as the Rodeo Drive of the Desert. Rancho Mirage is located between Palm Desert and Cathedral Desert and is one of Coachella Valley’s nine cities.
This city dates back to the 1920’s and 1930’s but didn’t get any recognition until after World War II. Many Hollywood celebrities came to this area seeking privacy and getaways from the city life. Many stars and dignitaries were attracted to the Annenberg Estate or Sunnylands which was owned by Walter and Leonore Anneberg. Their guest list included the likes of Bob Hope, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Patrick Macnee, and even Queen Elizabeth II. Gerald Ford eventually purchased a house in Rancho Mirage where he was living at the time of his death. Other presidential visitors included Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.
Rancho Mirage is also known for the Betty Ford Center, a famous addiction rehabilitation center and the Eisenhower Medical Center.
